Treasurer Certificate Leadership U Webinar
NSNA is delighted to present the NSNA’s Leadership University® Treasurers Certificate Program virtually allowing for hundreds of SNA treasurers, aspiring student leaders, and nursing faculty to attend. Become familiar with the intricacies of financial reporting, the budgetary process, revenue and expenses, statement reporting, cash control procedures, IRS filing requirements, and NSNA policies. Attendees earn a Leadership University Certificate for competency in the role of Treasurer after completing an open-book exam based on the materials covered. All state treasurers, aspiring treasurers, state board members, school chapter leaders, faculty advisors and consultants may participate.

A mentor contributes to your success as a registered nurse. Finding the right mentor is key to establishing what may be a lifetime relationship that enhances your professional identity formation in nursing.

This one-hour workshop will teach you the importance of mentorship in your nursing education experience. You will learn who can be a mentor, how to find a mentor, and how to be a good mentor. If you don’t have a mentorship program in your chapter, this workshop will provide information on how to start one.​

Beyond the Scrubs: Keeping it Professional

The speaker shares ideas about how nursing students can have professional composure inside and outside of class and clinical to better prepare for successful future RNs. Discussion includes Professional identity formation in nursing--how to be professional in your career as a nurse starting as a nursing student—includes the 4 pillars of professional identity formation in nursing: Values and ethics; knowledge; nurse as leader; professional comportment. What is it like to think, act and feel like a professional nurse? Forensic Nursing: Past, Present and Future
Forensic nurses bridge the gap between the healthcare and legal systems by providing care to living and deceased patients who have experienced trauma and evidence collection. Forensic nursing is a dynamic and quickly expanding nursing specialty the work of which may be vital in the pursuit of justice in cases of sexual and intimate partner violence, elder and pediatric abuse, and mass casualty events. This presentation will provide the participants an overview of forensic nursing and specialty areas; history and current and future trends; and professional organizations and certifications.
