What is the Role of the Image of Nursing Committee?Established in 1993, the goal of the Image of Nursing program is to dispel any misconceptions the public may have and the profession of nursing by re-educating them; educating nursing students on how to project a positive image of nursing; and help students understand the meaning of professionalism.
MacKenzie Simmons, Imprint Editor and Chair,
Image of Nursing Committee, Winter-Spring Memo Happy Winter Season NSNA members!
I hope that you all had an amazing holiday and winter break spending time with loved ones! I always love the start of a new year because everyone is so excited about forming new goals and a new start. I love forming new goals each year to help me become the person and the nurse that I want to be. Even if you don’t meet every goal that you set forth for the new year, remember to never give up in achieving your goals! Throughout this year the Image of Nursing Committee has held successful monthly webinars for NSNA members. All of the webinars have been recorded and can be accessed on the Image of Nursing website page. For November, we had a successful discussion on mental health and the importance of self-love entitled, “Mind Matters.” For January, we also had a webinar with tips on how to start the new year off with goals and resolutions for a successful semester. The next Image of Nursing Webinar is a collab with the Breakthrough to Nursing Committee on February 27, 2024, 7:00-8:00pm EST. Make sure to check all of these informative webinars online and I hope to see you at our next Image of Nursing webinar! Read More |
