The Global Initiatives in Nursing Committee will be hosting a session at the 2017 NSNA Annual Convention on Wednesday, April 5th from 1:15PM-2:15PM. Be sure to stop by this session for an opportunity to hear from an intriguing panel of NSNA members who will be sharing their experiences abroad.
As the chair of the Global Initiatives in Nursing Committee, I wanted to bring some attention to human trafficking because of how prevalent it is in today’s society. The question is how can we work toward a solution regarding this complex issue as future health care providers? This past year, this committee focused on global health issues like Zika Virus, global volunteer opportunities, human trafficking, and working with NSNA members to develop global nursing initiatives and programs in their chapters.
