Diane J. Mancino, EdD, RN, CAE, FAAN
Executive Director

Appointed by and directly responsible to the ​Board of Directors through the president. Manages and directs all operations, programs, activities and affairs of the association. The Executive Director is responsible for the employment, termination of employment, and determination of compensation for all staff and supporting personnel within the framework of policy aims and programs as generally determined by the Board of Directors. Dr. Mancino also serves as Executive Director of the Foundation of the NSNA.

Dev Persaud, MA
Director of Finance and Administration

Serves as staff consultant to the secretary/treasurer of the NSNA and FNSNA; drafts annual budget for NSNA and FNSNA for Board approval; monitors income and expenses; supervises accountant and works with auditor; oversees investments and preparation of all taxes and develops internal systems and procedures.
Romana Ahmed, Assistant Accountant

Cathy Ramos, AD
Membership Staff Specialist

Plans and executes annual membership marketing plan including preparation of publicity materials, mailings, recruitment and retention activities; develops membership benefits and services programs; coordinates membership contests; and maintains membership statistics. Coordinates design and distribution of the Convention and MidYear Brochures. Serves as staff support for membership director. Administers NSNA's records management program. Coordinates marketing and provides consultation to states and schools on establishing and managing chapters.
Qiana Valenzuela, Administrative Assistant
Assists the Membership Staff Specialist and the Director of Program and Education in the areas of membership and convention and program planning.


Kenya Williams, MSN, RN, HSM
Director of Governance and Policy

Coordinates the association's programs including Health Policy and Advocacy and Ethics and Governance with the chairperson. Actively works with the committee chairs and coordinates activities for both the MidYear Career Planning Conference and the NSNA Annual Convention. In addition the Director of Governance and Policy actively works with and serves as staff support for both the Resolutions and Nominating and Elections Committee. Consistently monitors current health and other legislation related to nursing, healthcare, and nursing education and take action as appropriate within scope of NSNA’s policies in consultation with the Executive Director.

Sarah Zhou, BA
Communications Specialist

Serves as staff resource person for the Imprint editor, who also serves as the Image of Nursing chairperson. Manages the publicity and public relations needs of the association. Manages the association's digital presence, including websites and social media. Manages the advertising in the association's digital communications; Manages the editorial and production phases for Imprint magazine, guidebooks, reports, promotional materials, program books and other publications and media.
Carol Patel, Editorial Assistant
Assists the Communications Specialist on projects related to communications, Imprint and other publications, website, and social media.

​Trisha Mims, MSN, MBA, HCM
​Director of Program and Education

Coordinates the association's programs including Community Health and Disaster Preparedness activities with the chairperson. Coordinates the planning and implementation of the Annual Convention and MidYear Career Planning Conference.

Jasmine Melendez, MA
Scholarship and Grants Administrator/NSNA Special Projects Manager
Manages school grant program and graduate nursing education Fellowships. Coordinates distribution and oversight of fellowships and grants. Assists in the planning and implementation of special functions, projects and events such as the Annual Awards Ceremony and fundraising events.


Lauren Sperle
FNSNA Staff Specialist

Oversees FNSNA undergraduate scholarship administration including the Promise of Nursing and general scholarship programs.Responsible for FNSNA and Promise of Nursing scholarship programs. Serves as liaison to general scholarship sponsors. Coordinates fundraising events at NSNA meetings.

Jaime Aguilar, Systems Support
Performs computer systems and equipment operations in support of administrative and related activities.

Lori Chen, Receptionist
​Attend to visitors and deals with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Supplies information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and members.

Advertising, Exhibit and Convention Management
Contact Anthony J. Jannetti, Inc.

Handles all promotion for Imprint, and the Convention and MidYear Conference advertising; administers Exhibitor promotion and advertising for both meetings; and works with the NSNA staff to manage the NSNA Convention and MidYear Conference. The offices of Anthony J. Jannetti, Inc. are located in Pitman, NJ.
