The NSNA Board of Directors met in Anaheim, CA on April 9, 2007. The following highlights their actions:

• Approved the minutes Board of Directors meeting, October 31, and November 1-4, 2006; Board of Directors conference call, January 22, 2007. Approved the minutes of the Executive Committee conference call, March 23, 2007.
• Accepted reports from the following: Finance Committee, Bylaws, Imprint and Image of Nursing, Legislation/Education, Membership, Convention and Program Planning, Breakthrough to Nursing, Community Health, and the Council of State Presidents.
• Approved the request of past-president Rebecca Wheeler for funds from the Board-designated fund in the Foundation of the NSNA to attend the inaugural meeting of the International Student Nurses’ Association (INSA), Yokohama, Japan. The meeting takes place during the upcoming International Council of Nurses Conference. Ms. Wheeler helped to found the INSA and she will provide reports to the NSNA Board and membership on the ISNA formation.
• Approved the 2007-2010 NSNA Strategic Plan.
• Adopted NSNA’s current blue and white logo colors as the official colors of the association.

The next meeting of the NSNA Board takes place November 13 and 14, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri.
