NSNA Leadership U:
NSNA members have an opportunity to maximize their leadership potential and thus enhance their career development. Self governance opportunities are available at the school, state and national levels. Through NSNA’s Leadership U, www.nsnaleadershipu.org, NSNA members have access to a model that earns recognition for participation in NSNA activities. The leadership and management skills developed are vital in a work setting as well as to professional associations upon graduation from nursing school. Log on to access the Leadership Library, chat rooms, and access to Critical Portfolio™. Your NSNA membership number is your ID number. Default password (case sensitive): NSNA. Critical Portfolio™
A comprehensive professional portfolio is the standard by which today’s nursing candidate is evaluated. The first of its kind, web-based portfolio management solution provides nursing professionals and students with an automated and organized professional portfolio – accessible anytime, anywhere. The Critical Portfolio™ solution allows for personal, customized portfolios that include education case logs, papers, memberships, NSNA activities, resumes, and more! Health and Accident Insurance:

NSNA members and their eligible spouse and dependents can purchase
group injury and sickness insurance provided by United Healthcare
Student Resources. The plan includes prescription drug coverage
and continuation privilege for a period of up to nine months after
graduation if eligible. It is affordable for students and their

UnitedHealth Allies® Discount Dental and Vision Plans (& More) - Included at no extra cost with every NSNA student health insurance policy is the UnitedHealth Allies® discount program. Although not insurance, the UnitedHealth Allies discount program provides up to 50% savings for a variety of healthcare services and products including dental, vision and wellness. Collegiate Assistance Program (CAP) – Help for stressful situations - Also included at no extra cost with every NSNA student health insurance policy is 24/7, toll free access to a team of Registered Nurses and Student Assistance Specialists that are there to help students manage common problems and stressors that can detract from academic success. CAP professionals can assist with health, personal, school, legal or financial concerns before they become unmanageable.
Malpractice Insurance:

Nurses Service Organization (NSO) is the official NSNA-endorsed provider of professional liability insurance for nursing students. NSO offers students malpractice protection coverage up to $1 million per occurrence up to $6 million annually, for only $29 a year! After you graduate and begin to take on full nursing duties, you’ll be eligible for a 50% discount off the full-time nurse's premium as a first-year graduate (good for 12 months following graduation date). Convention and Conference Discounts:

NSNA members are kept abreast of developments in the profession. They are informed about issues which influence education and future practice as graduate nurses. Members are encouraged to take action when legislative decisions involve healthcare, nursing, and nursing students.
Community Health Involvement:
Through NSNA's Community Health Projects programs, students can become involved in local activities which promote health.
State and School Chapter:
