ATTENTION: Faculty Advisors and Nursing Students
Official NSNA chapters or school clubs wishing to create an official NSNA chapter can enhance or establish their involvement in NSNA through the Marilyn Bagwell Leadership Development Grant. This grant also supports student participation in state and national NSNA meetings or conventions and develops the future leaders of the nursing profession.
The total grant award of $1,000.00 is given to one nursing program annually. The school that receives the grant is recognized at the NSNA Annual Convention during the Opening Ceremony. The convention takes place in Nashville, Tennessee at the Gaylord Opryland: Resort, Hotel, and Convention Center, April 15 - 19, 2009. The Opening Ceremony is on Wednesday evening, April 15, 2009.
- The student organization or club must have a faculty advisor;
- The faculty advisor of the student organization or club must apply for the grant (individuals are not eligible to apply);
- Student(s) who are supported by the grant to attend conventions and meetings must be matriculated in the nursing program and be NSNA members;
- The deadline for receipt of application is Friday, February 13, 2009.
