Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS)
CGFNS operates programs that evaluate the education and licensure
of internationally-educated nurses and other health care professionals
who wish to practice in the U.S. The CGFNS Certification Program
includes a credentials evaluation, a test of nursing knowledge that
is administered twice a year throughout the world, and an English
language proficiency examination. The Credentials Evaluation Service
provides a report that analyzes the international education and
licensure of applicants in terms of U.S. comparability.
