Environmental Products of the Future

As some of you may know at NSNA we are trying to become a part of the "go green" movement. In the NSNA headquarters office they have reduced the number of paper products they use for eating. As a Board of Directors we decided to become more economically friendly by reducing the amount of paper we use for items such as agendas by using email and thumb-drives. As we look to the future of this "green" movement there are several exciting things to look forward to and to participate in.

Products of Interest:

  • LED lights
  • Organic clothing (especially baby clothing)
  • Energy Star products such as dishwashers and washing machines
  • Hybrid cars
  • Reusable grocery bags
  • Solar chargers for your phone and camera
  • Recycled glass countertops
  • Bamboo products (for furniture or even dinner plates!)
  • Low-flow showerheads

While you may not want to completely re-do your home with only "green" products we do urge you to consider switching to a few more eco-friendly items as you consider what is in your home. These are simple, everyday things that you can use to reduce our carbon footprint. We have great products available to us and it seems that the future will only get brighter in terms of new "green" technologies.

Project Idea: Begin a recycling program in your area.
