Our Global Backyard: A Worldly View of Community Health

Community Health

Committee Goals 2007 - 2008

* Highlight Community Health projects being done by states and schools.

* Provide a "How to" guide for developing projects

* Provide web links to community groups that can help with project development

* Provide information for "Making it Fit."

Community health involvement by nursing students has become an important contribution to the health and well-being of the total community. Projects carried out at the local level by nursing students provide a service to the community while giving students an opportunity to utilize knowledge and skills.

Making it Fit:
Helping Busy Nursing Students Stay Happy and Healthy!

Welcome to Making it Fit! This is an initiative put together by NSNA to encourage nursing students across the country to keep healthy and take the time to ensure that they eat right, exercise, and reduce stress. In the following months, you will find advice for each month of the year. If you already have things that work for you, then stick to them! But we wanted to have different options for those who get bored easily or who might be picky and not like a lot of the traditional ways of working out, eating healthy, or reducing stress.
