Essay is judged on relevance to theme, writing style, originality, grammar and spelling. Bonus points are awarded to entrants who submit a letter from one faculty member stating the contestant will receive academic recognition as part of the NSNA Leadership U. Judges include representatives from Nursing Spectrum/NurseWeek and leaders of professional nursing organizations.
